Hello. My name is Jarrod Murdock and I'm the Program Director for Camp Utibaca. I've had the wonderful privilege of growing up in the great State of Utah! I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and in the Grace Baptist Church of Delta. My summers have been spent as long as I can remember at Camp Utibaca. As a result, I have many accumulated marvelous friends and memories. Beginning as a Camper in Junior Camp, over the years the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve on the Grounds Crew, as a Wrangler, and as a Counselor. In answer to the prayers of family and friends I came to know Christ as my personal Savior at Junior High Camp. After graduating from Delta High School in 2004, the Lord led me to prepare for the ministry at Northland Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin. I believe the main purpose for Camp Utibaca is to glorify God through the entire camping program. At Camp it is my desire and goal to glorify God by assisting fundamental Baptist churches in Utah. This assistance is first by working with their young people as Campers and as a part of the Staff to build them up in the faith and help train them for the Lord through fellowship, council, preaching and teaching. Second, we assist churches by evangelizing those Campers who are lost. I want to thank all of you who support the Camp by sending Campers, helping with finances, giving your time, and especially for your prayers. Victories for the Lord are won only through effective fervent prayers at Camp and at home. We cannot do this work in a way that will count for eternity without depending on Him! Please continue to pray for
continued growth and faithfulness in the lives of Campers who participated
in 2009. Pray for God's wisdom and gracious blessing as we begin preparing
for the summer of 2010. Also, I would greatly appreciate your prayers for
me, that I would be the man of God He wants me to be as I direct the Camp.
I just praise God for what He has done at Camp Utibaca in the past and am
eager to see what He will do in the future!
